  1. Interesting ... I have a Nancy Culveyhouse (1845-1922) who married Caleb Nathaniel BENTLEY (Union Co TN) and a Nancy S. E. "Nannie" Culvyhouse (1865-1938) who married James YOUNG and John F. HELTON (Whitley Co and Knox Co KY). The former is an ancestor in my husband's line.
It's funny how the names repeat. It's hard enough finding women's maiden names, and when they are all named Nancy/Nan/Ann/Annie/Nannie, Margaret/Meg/Maggie/Peggy/Maisie/Daisy or Mary/Molly/Polly/Maria/Mamie ... Well !!!

    1. So true. This Nancy Culverhouse was born Nancy Harrison and married 1st to John Hight. John and Nancy were the parents of the Wm G Hight that is assigned the warrant by Nancy and who then assigns it to Jacob Idleman. After John's death, Nancy marries Thomas Culverhouse Thomas' family was from the Granville Co NC area. My Harrisons and Cooks and the Hight and Culverhouse families which they married into loved to reuse names- both common ones and the ones which we would think were unique weren't after all of the children had passed it on to at least one of their children. :-)
