Jo Cook Purchases a Grey Mare at the Estate Sale of Charles Pope

A part of Charles Pope's Probate is recorded on p 718 of Rutherford Co TN Records for book 20 1858-1861.  It starts with an Inventory of Accts due the estate and cash on hand.  Immediately after that, the administrators Newton C Crick and Christopher Pope give a listing of Inventory of Sale.

on pg 721 at the very top of the page is a listing for
 Jo Cook ------1 grey mare --- 130.00

I believe this is a purchase by Joseph Knox Cook.  The Sale was recorded 11 Dec 1860 and while there is no date of sale mentioned, the accounts & cash on hand listed prior to the inventory sale listing give 30 Nov 1860 as the date those were gathered and witnessed.  It would follow that the sale occurred sometime between those two dates.
