I also read some about Louisa May Alcott. I have just finished reading The Inheritence, a book Alcott wrote at age 17. It was originally thought that Louisa had died of Mercury poisoning. There are now some doctors who think she may have died of Lupus although the Lupus may have been brought on by the exposure to mercury.

About two authors--their family and history
Brittany started back to school earlier this month and I started back online Friday. On campus classes begin Monday and I plan to spend some time at the college library working on genealogy. Brittany has the Little House on the Prairie books. I was helping her organize her books and that prompted me to check out sites about Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family. I found the following link and thought it was pretty cool to see Laura's Family Tree.

Great news for anyone who has Warren Co. TN connections or in the surrounding counties of Dekalb, White or Van Buren. High's Funeral Home has their obituaries for the past several years online. Have been working on locating my husband's lines in the census records. I'm going to have a real challenge working on his lines as they aren't based in the South. His family are Canadians and Scots who arrived in Michigan most coming down from Canada. This will give me a chance to try research in that state as well as to get familiar with researching Catholic church records as most of them were of that faith.
