Had a pretty good day yesterday in my research. Haven't gotten to go to the college library in a good while and probably should keep me a list of things I want to check there handy in case I do get to go. I worked on the Nelson line out of Bedford Co. TN. It is not a direct line of mine but my Gr. Uncle Will B. Jakes Sr. married Georgia Dean who descends from Eli P. Nelson so I enjoy researching it.

Spent some time this week posting to my lists. List traffic has been slow. The two county lists I admin seem to have come alive some for now. They are usually sporadic. Worked in census records today. Found some occurrences where the indexers had transposed the person's given name with that of their surname listing it incorrectly. Posted those to a few lists that I am on in case anyone had been searching for them

I started my family history research in 1990. Didn't have a computer til about 1994 and then didn't really get into genealogy online until about 1997. I hope to add to this blog some thoughts, links etc. that I have found useful in my research
