When the Tools get rolled out to Canada, like you I might try for a month, but that would be it - way too expensive and my software, Family Historian along with Family Tree Analyzer produce charts and report, fact check, and allow me to filter. As for the mapping, I prefer to do it myself using historical maps - yes, it takes a long time, but it helps cement locations in my head and really visualize the areas my family lived.Teresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08638901687647283925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6867192.post-82865840732689459652023-11-28T09:40:33.118-06:002023-11-28T09:40:33.118-06:00I have used HathiTrust extensively and share your ...I have used HathiTrust extensively and share your enthusiasm :)Teresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08638901687647283925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6867192.post-86467880182278652462023-11-27T16:06:26.430-06:002023-11-27T16:06:26.430-06:00Dear Marie,

My solution was to make some informal booklets summarizing my research. They are just printed from my computer and have pressboard covers. They contain stories about my ancestors, a family tree, maps of the immigrant’s birthplace, photos, etc. This adds up to maybe 30 pages and I make about a dozen copies - for our children, my siblings, a few selected cousins, and any appropriate local historical society. So far I have made one for my dad’s side, two for my mom, and one for my husband’s mother. My health has held well and we have made several trips to Europe and the British Isles to visit the ancestral places.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
